Everything is about people - even in IT. HCM, or Human Capital Management sounds a bit 'dry' compared to what is behind it. But when you think about how a company is steered, the management of human capital is essential to be successful. The more you see, the better you will perform. It's about the individual and also about the (wisdom of the) crowd. It is about knowing what you have, so you can use it most efficiently. It is about motivating and developing what you have, so you can get better. It's about sharing what you have, so everybody can use it. It is about creating an environment that's fun to work in, because people do best what they really like. It is about being attractive for clients and employees. Then they will come automatically and follow you.In IT, and specifically in Software, all those components above have names, which I didn't want to mention earlier so I don' scare you away: Workforce Predictions and Workforce Modelling, Business Intelligence, Global Benefits, Compensation Management, Recruiting and Onboarding, Performance Management and Succession Planning, Social Networks, et cetera.Sounds IT but it is all about people - nothing else.Want to talk about it?
